Laraia Voted East Hampton Board of Education Chair

Lane picked as secretary during Monday night's meeting.

 

At the East Hampton Board of Education meeting on Monday night at the high school, Mark Laraia was voted the next chairman. Laraia replaces Mike Vasquenza, who was unable to run because of term limits.

“Very large shoes to fill, so I will try my best,” said Laraia, who appointed Joanne Barmasse as acting chair.

Also, Carol Lane was chosen as secretary with Scott Minnick appointed acting secretary.

Laraia hopes to have committees formed in time for the next board of ed meeting.
