Attend a Banquet Celebrating the Portland Girls' Championship
Public invited to join in on the festivities
The public is invited to attend a banquet celebrating the Portland High School girls’ basketball state championship.
The banquet, catered by Farrell's Restaurant, will be held on Tuesday, April 5, at 6 p.m. at the high school cafeteria. Guest speaker will be Portland’s legendary coach, and member of the Connecticut High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame, Gene Reilly. Cost is $30 per person.
Tickets are available at the high school’s main office or mail your check to the Portland High School Athletic Office, 95 High St., Portland, CT 06480. Tickets must be purchased by March 31.

The first state title for the girls’ basketball program was won March 18 when the Highlanders defeated Cromwell, 45-41.
