The Girls' Soccer All-State dinner was held Jan. 15 and several local players were recognized.

East Hampton senior Becca Gustine was honored with an All-State plaque and various gifts. Also recognized were sophomore McKenzie Reimondo and senior Alyssa Unikewicz of Portland.

Several other awards were given out, including the Contributor of the Year Award. The East Hampton Sports Boosters were recognized as contibutor of the year for their ongoing support of sports at EHHS, including girls soccer. Their ongoing efforts provide equipment, support awards dinners and all the little extras that help make high school sports more enjoyable. They also were specifically recognized for their efforts supporting the fall sports Bellfest and senior night activities, where they rent, deliver set up and operate temporary lighting allowing East Hampton to play several night games a year on fields which don't have permanent lights. This is a tremendous opportunity for the student athletes and families and led to this nomination and ultimately the award.

The boosters are always looking for new members. If your child is a student athlete who benefits from their efforts, please consider joining the East Hampton Sports Boosters.
