Portland To Hold Town-Wide Cleanup

Help tidy up Portland during the week of April 29

 

It's time for some spring cleaning, and Portland needs your help.

The Town of Portland has announced that they'll hold a town-wide cleanup April 29 through May 5.

According to the announcement on the town's website, participants can help out by picking up trash from the sides of roads.

Participants can stop by the transfer station to drop off full trash bags from 7:30 to 3:30 Tuesday through Saturday, the website says.

Interested in helping out? Contact the first selectwoman's office at (860) 342-6715 or email mgagne@portlandct.org. You'll need to complete a registration form and let the town know where you'll be volunteering.
