This is an incredible biased article. The court is enforcing the law - not determining who paysRead More what. It is a simple consequence of passing a law nobody knew what had in it. While I think Obama has set the country back 20 years or so, I blame congress for passing a law they did not read before voting it in.
REVMAN July 25, 2014 at 11:51 am
I keep hearing about how good Obama care is and when I ask people(liberals) what plan they have theyRead More are so uniformed they don't know and can't find out.
Dan Byer July 25, 2014 at 11:52 am
I firmly believe that the goals of the Affordable Care Act are noble, necessary, solid, andRead More attainable. The plan is not perfect, but it's far better than the alternative: doing nothing and continuing to let the system screw over the people. This court ruling is just a blatant play on the conservative propaganda aimed at the uninformed consumer. "Hey! Obamacare is going to make you pay more!" NO. We are not fools. It is only your b.s. obstructionist court ruling that is going to make the consumer pay more. Stay out of the way. Let it run it's course. It WILL work.

In this day and age you have to be aware of your surroundings at all times in public and even inRead More bathrooms and changing rooms to protect yourself. I understand why this woman is so upset, I do. (I thought the State was immune from lawsuits.) All this does is drive up the cost oif insurance for state and municipal parks, when so many are working to preserve them, this kind of lawsuit deters more towns and states from acquiring and keeping parkland.

Ca Pen I can see your point, but tears after 3 years? Pushing it a little. Policies/procedures areRead More in place and they being used. You will never stop crime no matter how many procedures you have.

OK, all you men on here making comments, did you LOOK at this old guy's picture? Did you notice theRead More "woman" is only 18 and probably the daughter of the homeowner? It was obvious by the fact that she left the room until he was done that she was scared of him, not that she "changed her mind". If you think for one moment that a teenager would be at all interested in having her back massaged by this ugly old man, then you need help!

Well Clare where does this say the girl is a raving beauty? She might be and she might not be. ItRead More was pretty crude thing to say about this guy. How attractive would you be having a mugshot taken? Maybe the girl was lonely, maybe not. If you read my previous post. Don't know one way or another, but I don't think you can just go on her word alone. Do you remember Andrea Mears who beat the hell out of the guy flying a drone and then told the police he attacked her. If it was for the video everyone would have believed her. I said at the time that Andrea didn't do females any favors because from then on the female's story get harder to believe. BTW she said she left the home, there is only her word for that.

To everyone faulting DI for not commenting on this, I completely disagree with you. They made aRead More simple statement saying that there was more to the story than what we are being told. That's all they need to do. Unlike this attention grabbing entitled mother and her uncontrollable kid, DI is taking the dignified approach by not partaking in a public display of he said/ she said. Good for them. Take another look at the tv report and tell me that kid is not out of control. He is running all over the place with the reporter's microphone, which he has no business even touching. Clearly the mother has not taught him the word "no". Better that he learn at 4 that the world will not tolerate his obnoxious behavior. God bless his teachers. :)
Carolyn Armstrong July 25, 2014 at 11:13 am
I agree some one has to teach these kids basic manners and for those of us who do teach these thingsRead More at home it is good to finally have back up from the rest of society. Yes, I say God bless his teachers wherever they come from

I heard this mother on the radio who was out of her mind saying her kid doesn't need to change toRead More please the world and the world should just accept him. Absolutely no discipline. Further, on the same radio show, numerous people from the area called up stating they stopped patronizing this shop because of this out of control kid. This mother and her little snowflake are a snapshot of what is wrong with this country today. No respect for anyone.

Kara, the headline reads "Organic Fruit Sold Locally Recalled for Possible ListeriaRead More Contamination". It's clearly sensationalizing the two organic products.
Suzanne jefferis July 24, 2014 at 01:12 pm
The article should read 'Fruit Sold Locally'... It is misleading to the unaware who read no fartherRead More to suggest that organic fruit is the problem. All fruit, organic or those sprayed with unsafe pesticides should be washed. If gene spliced with herbicides and toxic pathogens as with GMO fruit, it is no longer a product of nature.
PS July 24, 2014 at 02:24 pm
Let's be realistic, those who are "unaware" probably aren't the people buying organic inRead More the first place. Lay off Kara - she's the only reason the patch is any good!

Joe - You are a broken record that should be smashed. In your feeble mind every gun owners is nuts.Read More Since when is Pennsylvania a "redneck state". PA is ranked #10 in toughest gun laws by Brady gun-takers so maybe you should educate yourself about stuff that mattters. As for Bobbie, the doctor was grazed in the head by a bullet that two inches in another direction could have made him dead, and allowed the rampage to continue. What makes you "suspect" anyway? That there is a real-life DGU in front of you and you have no way to dismiss it as anecdotal musings of the NRA?
Thomas Paine July 25, 2014 at 10:40 am
Cohort - Don't feed the trolls. They are too small minded to ever admit that see how this tragedyRead More could have been worse had the doctor not been armed. Next they will tell you they doctor should be fired for violating the medical center's rules on gun carrying on their campus. In Woodbury it is the stress of the property values decreasing and the ever increasing of taxes.Read More People can not afford their taxes now. Hi everyone here. What Christine Coleman said is very true though i may not know her. I experiencedRead More it first hand also. It was this organization called consumer loan firm (C.L.f)that really helped me to pay my medical bills when i was in dare need of money because i am a widow. A friend of my also directed me to them. when i was about to do a major operation and i had no money at that time, they came to my rescue and in less than 48 hours, i got my loan. But to say the truth, i was nervous and scared at first because i have been scammed twice. But when i summoned up courage and follow their lending policies along with my friends advice, at the end i found myself smiling. If not for them, maybe i would have been dead by now. I have even taken another loan from them start my business after my recovery which i am also paying back now. My only advice now is that any body who is really in need of loan should contact them with their email via: consumerloanfirm@gmail.com and get a loan from them. Thanks
This guy deserves his bad reputation.

I lived it too. I was head of HR in two different organizations and Compensation Manager in others.Read More It is sad that you can't have a discussion with people who have a different opinion from yours without resorting to insults. There are many laws already on the books making it illegal to pay men and women differently, minorities differently, disabled people differently. Titlle VII, EEOC and many others. These laws go all the way back to the 1960's. There are a number of laws outlawing disparate pay practices in CT as well. going back to the 1970's. There is no reason for another Federal law to address what is, in fact, a non-issue anyway. Did you report the illegal, unethical practices of the companies where you worked? I would have. Especially since I'm a woman I would never have kept quiet. And it could have been done with an anonymous letter. No one has ever asked me to do anything unethical or illegal. Good thing, because I wouldn't. The "need" for a new Federal law presupposes that a huge percentage of companies all across this country are still engaging in unethical and illegal practices, and it further presumes that all the Human Resource people in all these companies are complicit in these activites and are silent about them. I don't see how anyone can believe that.
Judy Davidson July 25, 2014 at 10:19 am
You don't understand Human Resources, it is not a means to a company doing what they want. A bigRead More part of the responsibility is to make sure that management knows about and is compliant with any and all government rules and regulations, in order to ensure that employees are treated fairlyand that the company is in compliance.
Bobbie July 25, 2014 at 10:42 am
Yes, Judy. HR is hired to alert the company to its employees' pros and cons and to carry out theRead More company's mandates. In some situations, HR is the CS - company spy. But, that is what is expected by the employees. and I'm sure you know this.
