Reid has spent his professional career in sports journalism, with stops at the Record-Journal, The National, ESPN and most recently The Hartford Courant.  A former youth soccer coach for 10 years, he now enjoys watching his daughter play lacrosse for her college team. He is a life-long resident of Connecticut, graduating from Wilton High School before attending Hartwick College then earning his degree from Ithaca College. He follows the New York Rangers, Yankees and Jets.  His life does <strong>not</strong> revolve around UConn basketball. He has entered four marathons and completed three, none in the last three decades.

Favorite sports moment: Rangers 1994 Stanley Cup. 

Favorite town for pizza: Oneonta, N.Y.

Favorite sport: probably a tie among soccer, ice hockey, lacrosse.

Favorite book:  The Five People You Meet In Heaven, by Mitch Albom.

Favorite musical group: The Moody Blues. 

Favorite musical &#34;album:&#34; Quadrophenia, by The Who. 

Favorite all-time Yankee: Thurman Munson.

Favorite sports announcer: Marv Albert.
