My Name is Sydney Sherman, and I am the founder of CtGhosthunters, a local Paranormal Research Team in Ct for over 30 years. I am also the author of a new book, "You Are Not Alone; Our Loved Ones Are Here....You're Just Not Listening".

I am excited to have the opportunity to share my experiences with the world of the Paranormal with the readers.

But First, a little about me:

I grew up in Milford, Connecticut. Baseball Games, Dance Recitals  and Sunday car rides were a normal part of my life growing up in the  60's.

But I was soon to find out everything was not normal…I had a secret.

From childhood, I had an awareness of  the energies around her and around all of us.  <br>  <br> Yes, I see dead people. &#34; I have never been alone.  From as far back as I can remember I have had the ability to interact  with people (peeps) that others could not see. For me it is not scary;  it is a natural part of my everyday life.&#34; <br>  <br> &#34;Yes, I am a Medium (even though I hate labeling what I do). I  get my information from your &#34;peeps&#34;….your ghosts, spirits,  entities (pick your favorite). That&#39;s it…spirits make themselves available.&#34; <br>  <br> As my sensitivity has grown over the years, I have been able to guide  others to open themselves to their own spirits - to make those energies  a part of their lives.

I appreciate skeptics. I know many of us have already experienced something that is beyond normal scientific understanding  (the definition of paranormal). Acceptance is not always an easy process. I would ask you to consider this, &#34;Is it easier to believe what the  mind tells you is true…Or is it easier to see the truth and convince  your mind otherwise?&#34;

Recent heightened media  focus on the paranormal, (spirits, ghosts, ghost hunting and the afterlife)  is both a gratifying validation and a source of frustration for someone like myself

For me, communication  involves respect for our own truths and those of our peeps. Mine is  a mission to promote greater understanding and to demystify the field.  The frauds, manipulators and those who prey on our honest curiosity  are doubly harmful, victimizing individuals and discrediting the field. For this reason, In 1978, I formed CtGhostHunters,™ a Paranormal Research Group  based near New Haven, CT. Our team has been a part of Connecticut and New England  for many years. We have a strong sense of community as well as a desire  to unlock the secrets of the afterlife through scientific means. Every  member of our team is required to adhere to a strict Code of Conduct.  CtGhosthunters™ will never investigate any site without written permission  from the owners, overseers, or Town Officials responsible for the sites.

Now…Why did I start investigating..Well why  not? I do not have the need to know if spirits exist, I see them everyday.  I do this in an attempt to capture evidence for others, to allow them  the same opportunity I have always had to see and understand what lies ahead for all of us. To help take away the fear of the unknown and to allow for a reconnection between us and our loved ones….

Every member has been picked because of their  qualities that I feel a good investigator in the Paranormal needs to  have. First a determination for the truth and second a respect for the  field. We all come from different backgrounds and maintain the utmost  respect when dealing with the afterlife and realize the truths we may  uncover can change a persons life.
