[Updated] Latest on Hunt for Marathon Bombing Suspects

Police in Norwalk boarded an Acela train Friday morning at the South Norwalk train station, hours after authorities in Boston—one terminus for the Amtrak line that runs through Norwalk—search for the second suspect in Monday's marathon bombing.  Click here for real-time updates on the search.  

Connecticut State Police have issued an alert that suspected bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, may be driving a gray Honda CR-V bearing a Massachusetts license plate number 316 ES9. 

An Amtrak Acela train was stopped in East Norwalk shortly before 9 a.m. Members of Norwalk Police Emergency Services walked through the train without locating the suspect. The train had previously stopped in Providence, RI, and New Haven and New London. An Acela train that originated in Boston at 6:05 a.m. had been scheduled to come through Norwalk around the time that police boarded the train.

MTA reports that the upper New Haven Metro-North Railroad line is seeing delays of up to 45 minutes due to the police activity.   The Hour reports that police after giving the all-clear in Norwalk headed for Darien train station.

Officials in Boston have located the Honda CRV and have called off the search for this vehicle.

Connecticut State Police have received information from the Boston investigation that a suspect vehicle with the wanted suspect inside could be in or headed to Connecticut. The vehicle is described as a gray Honda CRV with the Massachusetts registration of 316 ES9.

"Connecticut troopers are posted strategically in our state and continue to communicate with Massachusetts authorities," police said in a statement issued recently.

Multiple communities in the Boston area are in complete lockdown Friday morning as an all-night manhunt continues for the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing.

Businesses, schools, and mass transit are shut down completely, and police are asking all residents of the affected areas to stay indoors. Many of the Boston area colleges, including Boston University, MIT, Northeastern, Harvard, Emerson, Lesley, Suffolk, Bentley and Boston College are closed today.

According to Watertown Patch, officials confirmed early Friday morning that they are searching for the second Boston Marathon bombing suspect in Watertown following a chaotic night that left the first suspect dead.

The Associated Press is reporting the surviving Boston bomb suspect is identified as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge. "We believe this man to be a terrorist," Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said at a post-4 a.m. press conference about the at large suspect.

"We believe this to be a man who's come here to kill people. We need to get him in custody."

All MBTA service has been suspended on Friday morning and law enforcement officials are asking residents of Watertown, Newton, Waltham, Belmont, Cambridge and the Allston-Brighton neighborhoods of Boston to stay indoors and for businesses to not open today. Also, no vehicle traffic will be allowed in or out of Watertown until further notice.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

A robbery at a Cambridge 7-11 Thursday night was followed by the fatal shooting of a MIT campus police officer, then a carjacking by the suspects, which turned into a shootout in Watertown on early Friday morning, with one suspect pronounced dead at a hospital after the shootout and the other at large.
